Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group is a registered charity, founded by Margaret Bowler in 1987, run by volunteers and dedicated to offering the hand of friendship and support to all those affected by Myotonic Dystrophy.

We have a central helpline and a network of regional contacts throughout the United Kingdom, as well as extensive links abroad. We are supported by professional specialist advisers, including in the fields of genetics, neurology, anaesthetics, research and rehabilitation.

Farleigh Hospice exists to meet the needs of local people affected by life-limiting illnesses and to support those who have been bereaved. Through the ongoing generosity of the mid Essex population we provide a range of high quality services totally free of charge. By giving people choice and involvement in the care they receive we make a real difference when and where it matters most.
